- Prominent speakers and guests celebrate with PWO in a ceremonial setting
- Tremendous level of public interest in PWO's Open House at its home location in Stadelhofen

Oberkirch, September 9, 2019 - On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, Progress-Werk Oberkirch AG extended an invitation to a ceremony and Open House during the past weekend.

Together with a large array of political, business and research guests, as well as former PWO employees, PWO's Supervisory Board, Management Board and executives celebrated the Company's 100th anniversary on Saturday at a commemorative ceremony.

A number of prominent guests welcomed visitors with a brief introduction. These guests, like the keynote speaker Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble, the President of the German parliament (Bundestag) - who is directly elected as a member of the constituency of Offenburg in the German Bundestag and has held this position for nearly five decades - praised PWO's ongoing courage and willingness to change, as well as its high level of innovation, which have been necessary to remain competitive over such a long period of time.

All of the speakers also emphasized the special social partnership that distinguishes PWO, as well as the balance of interests of all stakeholders, to which the Company feels extremely committed. For this reason, PWO maintains close contact with the local political leaders in Oberkirch, Stadelhofen and the surrounding communities.

Sunday's Open House with several thousand visitors was also a great success. PWO employees and family members and friends along with a broad and interested public had the opportunity to learn more about PWO's one hundred years of company history. Visitors showed great interest in PWO's complex process of contemporary deep-drawing production with the highest speed and precision, a variety of joining technologies for metallic materials, as well as in the assembly of components into high-performance modules and subsystems. The Stadelhofen community association (Vereinsgemeinschaft Stadelhofen) provided catering with great care and enthusiasm for all of the guests. The local associations - who have never before hosted such a large event - contributed significantly to the success of this splendid day.
